What is Echoes of Mystralia?

It is a roguelite action-RPG from Borealys Games, the sequel to the 2017 spellcrafting adventure Mages of Mystralia. You craft your own spells from collected memories, fight the Shadows of the Past, and explore a world trapped in the horrors of its past.

How does spell crafting work?

Spells are assembled from memories you collect in the world. Combine memories, reorder them, and the spell takes shape — the order and combination change how the spell behaves. If you can imagine a spell, you can try to craft it.

Who is the main character?

You play Mazarim, a Watcher tasked with protecting the Cycle of Memories. Watchers are guardians of the world's memory, and Mazarim is the one who must face the Rift and the Shadows of the Past.

What is the Azimuth Temple?

It is the hub of the game. Every run ends with a return to the temple, where you develop your skills, change your combat approach and receive guidance from a millennia-old dragon.

Is there RNG in combat?

The roguelite structure introduces randomness in which memories you find during a run, but combat itself is action-based — dodging, positioning and spell timing are under your control. Your build quality determines most of your success.

How many classes or playstyles are there?

There are no fixed classes — instead, spell crafting creates endless build styles. Popular archetypes include melee burst, elemental control, ranged precision, area annihilation and tactical evasion.

Is there a community / how can I help with development?

Yes — the official Discord is the community hub. The team runs private playtests and invites players to follow development and impact the game's direction during Early Access.
